Nyca is looking for a well-connected, enthusiastic professional to scale our investor relations function. As a Principal heading Investor Relations at Nyca, you will be a key member of a small and talented team. You will start with strengthening our coverage of existing institutional and individual investors and helping us leverage them better. Later in the year you will own and drive our fundraising strategy including cultivating new investor relations ahead of a formal fundraise.

Job responsibilities

• Represent Nyca to the investor community
• Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing investors while partnering with the GPs for most effective coverage
• Expand the connections between our investors and portfolio companies for mutual benefit, including facilitating partnerships between financial institutions and fintech companies in the Nyca portfolio
• Manage future fundraising strategies from inception to outcome including: (i) designing an expanded prospective investor outreach far in advance of a formal fundraise, (ii) coordinating meetings with investors and follow-up requests, (iii) handling due diligence requests in a timely fashion, and (iv) managing the LP closing process including coordination with legal teams
• Work with the operations team to manage other strategic engagements, including investor presentations, annual LP meetings and other investor-related events

Requirements

• At least 5 years of direct experience in investor management / capital raising
• Experience in marketing a portfolio and interfacing directly with limited partners to represent the portfolio, business strategy, etc. for a fund. Venture experience is a plus but not specifically required
• Success in raising capital from institutional LPs in different channels and regions including strategics, endowments, foundations, banks, pension funds, family offices, asset managers, etc.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as the financial background to be able to explain financial performance and the fintech investing focus of the fund to prospective limited partners
• Strong team player
• Knowledge of the financial services and fintech ecosystem is essential

Base Salary: $200,000-$250,000 plus discretionary bonus
